Before you start, make sure you have:
- β Access to Jira Cloud (self-hosted not supported yet)
- β Read permissions on projects you want to sync

Connection Process
Start Connection

In your Impulsum dashboard:

- Click “Integrations” in the sidebar menu
- Find the Jira Cloud card and click “Connect Jira”
- You’ll be redirected to Atlassian’s authorization page
Authorize Permissions

On the Atlassian authorization page:

π Permissions Review: Impulsum will request read-only access to your Jira data
- Select your Jira Cloud instance from the dropdown
- Review the requested permissions:
- π Read projects and issues
- π₯ Read user information
- π Read sprints and boards
- π Read project configurations
- Click “Accept” to authorize Impulsum
Confirm Connection

Back in Impulsum:

π Sync Status: You can monitor the progress in real-time
- Connection status will show “Connecting…”
- Initial synchronization starts automatically
- Progress indicator shows sync completion percentage
- Notification appears when sync is complete

Once the initial synchronization is complete:

- Go to the AI chat in your dashboard
- Ask: “How many projects do I have connected?”
- You should see a response listing your Jira projects
Detailed Verification
β Common Issues
“Your Jira instance was not found”

Solution:
- Verify you’re using Jira Cloud (not Server/DC)
- Confirm the URL:
yourcompany.atlassian.net
- Try opening the URL in your browser
- If the problem persists, contact support
“Insufficient permissions”

Solution:
- Contact your Jira administrator
- Request “Browse Projects” permissions
- Make sure you have access to the projects you want to sync

- Large instances (1000+ issues) can take up to 15 minutes
